Odnoklassniki opens video content monetization in groups
MOSCOW, Aug 31 (PRIME) -- Russian social network Odnoklassniki, part of Internet company VK, has launched monetization of video for the groups with more than 1,000 members that post videos lasting more than 1 minute and have at least one video with 10,000 views, the social network said late on Tuesday.
“Odnoklassniki is launching the first public program of video monetization – all administrators of groups with high-quality video content will be able to earn on showing advertisements,” the social network said.
“Today Odnoklassniki started accepting applications for participation in the program. Video monetization will become a new important step to support authors of original content on the platform,” it said.
Video content on Odnoklassniki has more than 700 million views per 24 hours, and the number of video loadings increased 11% in April–June.
